Getting here:
You will need to arrange your own transport to M’hamid for your tour, you can self drive or the most economical way is by CTM bus which departs from Marrakech at 11,30am and arrives in M’hamid at approx 9.30pm. Buy your ticket the day before you wish to Travel. You can do this online or visit the CTM bus station. The journey is an adventure in itself with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and beautiful landscape.
(if you would like us to arrange transport to M’hamid this is also possible but will cost quite a lot more)
or you can come by Grand Taxi , (change in Ouarzazate and Zagora)

M’hamid – Erg Zahar
Overnight wild camping by 4×4
Duration: afternoon to the following days lunchtime

Leave in the afternoon from M’hamid, driving across the desert for approximately and hour and a half to reach the huge beautiful unspoiled dunes of Erg Zahar, climb the highest dune to enjoy the sunset while your guides prepare the camp, where you will be served freshly cooked dinner served with bread prepared in the hot sand under the fire. Gaze up at the countless stars and lose yourself in the silence, or look into the fire and listen to your hosts sing traditional songs.
In the morning we will prepare you breakfast then set out for M’hamid, stopping off at the ancient ruined souk and tomb of the Marabout at Sidi Naji on the way back

M’hamid – Erg L’houdi
2 Days by camel
Duration: 2 days, 1 night
Start: after breakfast in M’hamid
You will travel by camel or on foot into the Sahara starting after breakfast, There will be a stop for lunch and rest in a beautiful spot then we will continue until we reach the place where we will camp in the picturesque sand dunes of Erg L’ Houdi . You will have time to expore the dunes and watch the sunset before we serve you a delicious dinner. You can see sand bread made, enjoy the campfire and listen to traditional music in the evening. We are far enough into the desert to see a beautiful display of stars here too.
After a restful night in the quiet of the desert and a good breakfast you travel back to M’hamid, with again a stop for lunch along the way, reaching M’hamid late afternoon.
We are happy to answer your questions and give you interesting information about the Sahara. This is an ideal introduction to walking with camels and staying in the desert overnight for the first time.

M’hamid – L’houdi – Chegaga
3 days, 2 nights. First by camel and then 4×4 to Chegaga
Start from M’hamid after breakfast
A perfect way to experience both walking with camels and nomads in the desert and a visit to the spectacular dunes of Chegaga if you have only a limited time or are visiting the desert for the first time.
The first day you will leave with the camels and walk into the beautiful wildness of the desert, pausing for lunch and rest under a shady tree before walking on to set up camp for the night and watch the sunset in the peace of the rolling dunes while your guides prepare a delicious dinner and the famous sand bread, cooked fresh for you in the hot sand beneath the campfire. On a clear night you will then see an amazing display of stars before retiring to your tent or sleeping outside under stars if you wish
After breakfast in the morning you will be collected by 4×4 to continue your journey on to the huge dunes of Chegaga, pausing for lunch at an Oasis on the way, as well as a visit to a nomad camp, before arriving at a fixed bivouac in Chegaga where you can shower and rest before ascending the dunes to enjoy the sunset.
You will be served dinner and there is often music in the evenings also.
After breakfast in the morning the 4×4 will return you to M’hamid

Erg Zahar- Erg Chegaga
Three days, two nights by 4×4
A unique opportunity to experience both of the large dune complexes in this region of the Sahara in one short trip
You will travel to Erg Zahar on the first day with a visit to the ancient souk ruins and the tomb of the Marabout at Sidi Naji on the way where you will pause for lunch before continuing to Zahar where we will set up camp for the night, and you can climb the biggest dune to watch the sunset in this unspoiled area of the desert.
A delicious dinner, sand bread demonstration and star gazing will fill the evening
After breakfast the next day we will continue on towards Erg Chegaga, visiting Erg Sma on the way for lunch and a visit to a nomad family before arriving at a comfortable fixed bivouac in Chegaga where you can shower and rest before ascending the dunes to enjoy the sunset.
