Katherine is a well known illustrator of Folktales who works primarily in watercolours and ink but is also skilled in mixed media and print techniques. A qualified art therapist she also has 14 years experience of teaching art in a school setting and running regular workshops in print and mixed Media in the community. With a strong interest in personal narrative and traditional storytelling, she often has a unique relationship with her subject matter.

Katherine is happy to offer art tuition and advice to any level of artist on our tours, from complete beginners to the more experienced. Her specialty in this setting is encouraging a personal response to the environment and visual diary making for later reference. Sketches, photographs and notes you collect can give rise to finished work and further exploration over the months following your desert tour, as they have for Katherine herself…
