If you want to see some if the highlights of the desert but don’t have the time or budget for an overnight stay we offer day trips in our 4×4. As well as the options below we can arrange a drive to erg Zahar with a visit to Sidi Naji, the tomb of the Marabout and ancient souk or a visit to the Neolithic site near Tagounite, please do ask if you would like a quote

We can also include a visit to a local Kasbah in any day tour

Day tour to Chegaga

Lunch or tea afternoon tour to visit the Ostriches by 4×4

There is a small population of North African Ostrich as well as the endangered Houbara Bustard and Addax antelope, near M’hamid. They are the subject of a staged gradual release and breeding programme, so far this has been quite quite successful, with breeding among both the ostrich and antelope, it is possible to visit the area but with caution as the Ostrich are still mostly captive bred so not afraid of human contact and they are big powerful birds. We can take you out to the Acacia forest by 4×4 and either include a freshly prepared picnic lunch or tea and snacks
